기억의 바람이 다다르네
나의 절망 한 귀퉁이에
그리고 어제의 사그라진 먼지 속에도,
당신의 사랑 역시 함께 돌아왔구려.
하지만 모르겠소 당신이 행복하게 살게 될지
아니면 세상이 당신을 패배시켰는지...
살아가고픈 희망 없이 살아갈 땐
죽음의 평화를 찾으시길 당신.

슬픔- 돌아오지 않는 당신의 빈자리,
슬픔- 당신이 돌아올 수 없다는 것을 안다는 거,
슬픔- 절망 속에서 당신의 소리를 듣는 거,
내게 다가와 날 나무라는 그 목소리.
다정다감한 고통- 당신의 그림자와 함께 있다는 거,
애석함- 좋은 사람으로 당신을 기억하는 거.
아득한 고통- 지금은 사라진 목소리를 듣는다는 거,

y entre el polvo muerto del ayer,
también volvió tu querer.
Yo no sé si vivirás feliz

땅고 곡에서는.. 이렇게 한 절(stanza)만 부르지만
원 가사는 다섯 개의 스탠자로 구성되어있더군요.
(위 한글 번역은 영어 버전을 세 스탠자만 추려서 옮겨봤고요~)
